Report: Liverpool could turn to Premier League manager to replace Klopp

Liverpool's pursuit of a new manager has taken yet another twist following Jurgen Klopp's announcement in January that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

The Reds have been linked with numerous candidates to succeed Klopp, but their initial top choice, Xabi Alonso, decided against moving to Anfield, forcing Liverpool to consider other options.

Ruben Amorim, once viewed as the leading candidate to replace Klopp, now appears to be an unlikely choice, creating uncertainty in Liverpool's managerial search.

With Amorim's candidacy in doubt, reports suggest Liverpool are now considering intensifying their pursuit of Brentford boss Thomas Frank if they fail to secure Amorim's services this summer.

TeamTalk reports that Liverpool's board admires the Danish manager and could turn to him should their search for Amorim not pan out.

Frank has been instrumental in Brentford's recent success, leading the club to establish itself in the Premier League.

His style of play and tactical approach have drawn attention from major clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, a sign of his growing reputation in English football.

Frank's potential move to Liverpool would not come without challenges.

The 50-year-old manager is under contract with Brentford until 2027, meaning Liverpool would need to pay a significant compensation fee to acquire him.

Despite these obstacles, Frank could find the opportunity to manage a club like Liverpool hard to resist.

Meaning no disrespect to the Brentford boss, I'm not too sure he's done enough to warrant being the man to replace Jurgen Klopp.

He's no doubt a good manager and has done a wonderful job since arriving in the Premier League but Liverpool should be chasing proven, accomplished managers.

Perhaps it's just the suspense of waiting to see the direction the club will be heading in but I am beginning to grow worried that Liverpool will be left with less than satisfactory options in their manager appointment hunt.
