According to reports, Tottenham have tabled a £20m offer for Red Bull Salzburg’s forward Benjamin Šeško .

The Slovenian teenager is a and had attracted interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Madrid only have Karim Benzema has an out-and-out number nine with Luka Jovic moving to Fiorentina.

Liverpool have a strong relationship with the Red Bull group, having signed Ibrahim Konate and Naby Keita from their teams in Austria and Germany.

Liverpool have already brought in attacking reinforcements in the shape of Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho but have let Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino leave.

There are also doubts over Roberto Firmino’s future too, with the forward falling down the pecking order in recent times.

Tottenham were in for winger Luis Diaz in January before Liverpool swooped in at the last minute to secure their man.

They could be forced to move now for Šeško, to avoid losing out to one of their Premier League rivals.

Tottenham have signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison so far, but Sesko could be a long-term replacement for Harry Kane, who is close to 30.

However, the player still has four years left on his deal, and is currently only worth £9m, according to Transfermarkt.

The towering six-foot-four forward has already been capped 13 times by Slovakia, scoring twice.

He managed 10 goals and seven assists in 36 games in all competitions last season, as RB Salzburg won the league and cup double in Austria.
