After weeks and weeks of speculation, Thiago Alcantara is finally set to join Liverpool in this window.
The current Premier League champions will pay Bayern Munich an initial £20 million but the deal includes add ons. The add ons will take the deal to £25 million and will be decided on appearances and trophies.

Bayern seemed to be holding out for around €30 million but the longer the window has gone on the more power Liverpool seemed to have any deal.
It had appeared for most of the summer that Liverpool would need to sell a midfielder before they bring another one in. That player who rumoured to leave was Georginio Wijnaldum, who had been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona. But now it appears that Gini will stay at Anfield and sign a new deal.

The signing of Thiago Alcantara is a huge statement from Liverpool, it is the first time for years that Liverpool have signed a player who every team in the world would have been happy to sign.
