Liverpool’s defeat to Manchester United in Thailand has been described as a ‘nothing defeat’ by TalkSport presenter Simon Jordan.
The Reds got their pre-season off to a bad start losing 4-0 to Erik ten Hag’s United side.
Goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri downed the FA and Carabao Cup winners.
However, Liverpool fielded three different line-ups throughout the game and according to Jordan, shouldn’t take notice of such a result.
❌ “Seven out of that Liverpool line-up will not start in the PL.”
🤷♂️ “There is nothing in that result for me besides no adverse press for Utd.”
✅ “If Man Utd had got beat 4-0, that would have been a story.”

Speaking on the defeat, Jordan claimed that: “There is nothing in that result for me besides no adverse press for Utd.”
“If Man Utd had got beat 4-0, that would have been a story,” Jodan added.
“I think you’ll see that there are seven out of that starting line-up today that won’t feature in their starting eleven at the start of the season.”
United fielded virtually a full-strength side with Bruno Fernandes captaining ten Hag’s first line-up but Liverpool’s side featured numerous young talents such as Tyler Morton, Harvey Elliot, Fabio Carvalho, Isaac Mabaya and Luke Chambers.
❌ “#MUFC fans getting excited about beating #LFC 4-0…it doesn’t matter!”

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor also mirrored Jordan’s comments claiming the result ‘doesn’t matter’.
Liverpool boasted a 9-0 aggregate score over United in the Premier League last season and the player-turned pundit claims fans are getting a little bit too excited.
“It could be the last time Man United beat Liverpool until the next pre-season!
“Pre-season is about your fitness right and not about results at all so I wouldn’t even look into that”
