“Door is open for pretty much everybody”: Klopp drops exciting hint for Liverpool supporters

Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp has given Liverpool fans reason to be hugely excited ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.

Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino have moved to pastures anew this summer.

Given their unique importance to Liverpool over the last few years, it could be a time of uncertainty for the Reds.

Yet, the season ahead is so much more exciting than ever in my opinion.

One of our biggest flaws as supporters is that we’re never satisfied. The nature of football fans these days is to expect more and more.

Fortunately, Liverpool are one of the best-run clubs in the transfer market and so player departures are not as damaging as they are for some of our rivals.

In attack, Darwin Nunez has arrived as the club’s biggest signing in history while Fabio Carvalho has arrived with dramatically less fanfare and drama.

Nunez was a victim of social media, so to speak, on Tuesday with his miss against Manchester United being shared by fans across the globe.

However, a 4-0 pre-season win for United will do nothing to erase the 9-0 aggregate defeat they suffered against Liverpool as the Reds romped onto 92 points in the Premier League.

United, meanwhile, are still preparing for another season in the Europa League so Liverpool fans will no doubt get the last laugh.

As reported by the Independent, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hyped up his attacking options.

He said: β€œIt will be really interesting.

β€œWe had two or three or four years where it was always clear before the pre-season we start up front with Sadio, Bobby and Mo.

β€œNow the door is open for pretty much everybody. That will make us completely difficult to analyse. That is what we have to use.”

With several pre-season games still to go, it’s thrilling to watch the preparations with an open mind as to all the possible combinations Klopp has when selecting lineups.
