Liverpool have been linked with a move for £173k-a-week midfielder for the second time in two days as reports intensify.
The Reds are in real danger of surrendering the Premier League title race already after only three games which have seen two draws and one shock defeat to Manchester United.
They’ve also had to contend with injuries – specifically midfield injuries as up to four central midfielders are currently sidelined.
Ever since the loss to United, reports have been commonplace linking Liverpool with a move for a midfielder and it seems they are getting closer and closer to PSG’s Leandro Paredes with two reports in two days.

Latest reports on Paredes
The first report yesterday was from Cmdotcom, who linked Paredes with a move to Liverpool after he was replaced by Vitinha in the PSG line-up.
Paredes, 28, is valued at £15.3M, and currently earns around £173k-a-week which would see him become one of Liverpool’s top earners.
A report overnight from TNT Sports in Argentina has linked Paredes with a move to Liverpool but there is also interest from Juventus who signed another Argentinian earlier this summer in Angel Di Maria.
With the Reds seemingly happy to offload Naby Kieta, with Borussia Dortmund interested, perhaps they could swap a 27-year-old Keita for a 28-year-old Paredes.

Technical midfield quality
Paredes is a deep-lying midfield who has a wonderful passing range and vision and he would look to replicate Thiago’s possession qualities. This could be important as Thiago (statistically) can only really start somewhere between 17-24 games per season/
His stats show he’s in the 99th percentile for passes and passes completed and the 93rd percentile for assists per 90 and he’s statistically similar to Jorgino, Marcelo Brozovic and João Moutinho.
He’s also a feisty tackler as well, averaging 2.46 tackles per 90 and 1.64 interceptions which don’t rank too high compared to other DM’s but PSG dominate the ball for long periods and he has less of a defensive load than someone else in the same position. However, he does rank much higher than Jordan Henderson for example in that department.
Paredes would bring experience, technical quality and calmness in midfield, the likes of which Liverpool don’t possess outside of Thiago.
It’s definitely one to watch.
