Mohamed Salah has a big decision ahead of him this summer.
After eight years at Anfield, the Egyptian’s time might be coming to an end. Salah has been in the news since the season began. His contract has been the topic of discussion, with him being linked with a move away from Merseyside. This season, the 32-year old has been playing his best football over the past few years.
Salah has 22 goals and 14 assists in the Premier League, and is frontrunner for Player of the Year. He has made it clear that he would consider staying at the club if his contract terms are met. For now, he is focused on winning the league this season:
“…I said it many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team. We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this.”

Saudi Pro League boss speaks on Mohamed Salah

During the January transfer window, Liverpool rejected offers from the Saudi Pro League for Salah. Reports claimed that the Egyptian international was offered a huge contract and even bigger salary. However, it is believed Liverpool and Salah were determined to see out the rest of the season. The reds could end this season with a treble, which would be the perfect send off for one of the club’s best servants.
Al-Hilal boss Jorge Jesus revealed that he would love for Mohamed Salah to join his team:
“I would like to have Salah at Al-Hilal, he has a way of playing that fits the team.”
The Saudi Pro League club lost Neymar after the Brazilian’s contract was terminated. In the search for a marquee signing to replace the former Barcelona star, Salah’s name popped up. Jesus even mentioned during the January transfer window that Al-Hilal could make a move for the Egyptian at the end of the season.
“Mo Salah or other big players will not come this winter… but maybe next season,”
Al Hilal could make a move for Mohamed Salah before the Club World Cup in June.
Liverpool need to act fast
Salah has made it clear that he is willing to stay at Anfield if his terms are met. Reports claim that there is a two-year deal on the table for the forward. Liverpool could end the season with a Premier League win. The fans would be even more excited if a Salah contract extension followed.
