A rival club has reached out as summer Liverpool transfer may leave in a shocking exit. Joining this summer for £100m+, he has fallen out of favour. Lack of form and adaptability might be the reason for his early departure.

The Reds were quite active in the during this summer’s transfer window. Purchasing players for over £416m, Liverpool clearly went for shopping. But not all player have been a hit with the Kop crowd.

Despite winning all of their five Premier League games and riding high on a seven-match victory run, the club needs some accountability. Letting go of fifteen players over the summer, the club would not stop if the players didn’t deliver.

Liverpool transfer to exit within weeks of arrival

Arriving from Bayern Leverkusen for £100m+, the Florian Wirtz was initially touted as the marquee signing for the club. But things have quickly gone south. Now a major rival clubs is sending out feelers to the player.

Speaking to German outlet Bild former Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed he feels sorry for Wirtz.

‘I have to honestly say, I still feel sorry for Florian Wirtz because I think the player would be better off at Bayern Munich than at Liverpool.’

Setting the Bundesliga record for a transfer, fans were expecting Wirtz to light up English football. However it has been a dampening experience so far for the German international. Appearing in seven games, Wirtz has failed to find the net even once so far.

Other signings have found the mark

While Wirtz has been struggling to find form other major signings have found the mark. Apart from the German, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak were the two marquee signings for Liverpool.

Ekitike has firmly established himself in starting XI. The Frenchman has five goals and an assist in eight appearances. Isak too has got himself going by scoring in Pool’s last fixture against Southampton in the Carabao Cup.

It remains to be seen whether Wirtz can get himself going or will he make a quick exit back to the Bundesliga.
