Real Madrid change their mind about £35m Liverpool player

Real Madrid have apparently changed their mind about £35m Liverpool player. Madrid is one of the biggest clubs in world football. Whenever they come calling for a player, they usually get him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s transfer from Liverpool to Real Madrid was the most recent in that direction. In the past too formidable Anfield stars have made their way to the Bernabeu. Steve McManaman, Michael Owen and Xabi Alonso are some of the illustrious ones.

Madrid are trying to do the same with Ibrahima Konate, although they are not looking to stop just there. They have one more player on their mind.

Real Madrid change mind about Liverpool player

The Spanish giants were looking at Alexis Mac Allister as a possible addition to their midfield. But according to Defenca Central, a Madrid centric outlet, their interest has waned off a bit.

While most Liverpool stars have struggled to get going Mac Allister hasn’t looked like himself since his injury. Slot deployed him cautiously at the start of the season with his on field performances not as convincing as before.

However the same can be said about most of his illustrious teammates. Defenca reports that this off colour start to the season has Real Madrid doubting the Argentine’s abilities.

Not totally out of the equation

Despite the doubts, the club hasn’t ruled out all possibilities of signing him in the future. A resurgence in form will likely cause Madrid to renew their interest in the World Cup winner.

Playing till the hour mark in most games, the 26-year old was given almost 90 minutes against Chelsea. His recovery to full fitness may see a change in on-pitch fortunes for the player.

So far though, it has been a struggle with just one assist in nine appearances being his sole significant contribution.
