Despite garnering an away win in Germany against Eintracht Frankfurt, Andy Robertson was careful when talking about Liverpool’s upcoming clash.
It’s always difficult after losing four games in a row, as Arne Slot’s men finally turned it around at the Deutsch Bank Park in a 5-1 thrashing.
Now, the Reds face Brentford on Saturday, where they’ll be hoping to win their first English Premier League game since mid-September.
The last time the Reds won a game in the Premier League was against Everton, and since then, it has only been downhill for Slot’s men.
“It’s all about recovering now, such a short turnaround. Brentford away has always been such a difficult game. I know they’re under a new manager, but the same principles are kind of there”, Robertson told the press.

After commenting about Hugo Ektike’s form, Shearer turned to talking about the club’s game against Frankfurt. The former Newcastle United striker believes that the game will be a confidence booster going forward.
“Any win is a welcome win, but when you’ve lost four on the spin, you need to get that victory and to get confidence back as quick as possible”, Shearer told Betfair.
“So to have a statement win like that, especially after going 1-0 down in the way that they did, was impressive. They made changes, which I guess he was always going to do, but the standout one was obviously leaving Mo Salah out.”
“He hasn’t been in great form; he even came on and missed a couple of chances. He should have passed another one, but I understood that one when he’s so desperate to get goals.”
“Isak going off at half-time. I don’t know whether that was an injury or not, but it was a massive win for Liverpool going into the weekend.”

Mohamed Salah will make a comeback
Shearer also believes that despite the drop in performance, it is too early to judge Mohamed Salah’s role at Liverpool. The pundit thinks that Salah will still produce by the end of the season.
“I think it’s too early to say if Mo Salah will continue to be Liverpool’s main man. I understand that when you leave a big player out and then you get the result like Liverpool did and dominate, scoring five like they did – it should have been more as well.”
“The clamour will be to leave him out again, but it’s still too early to say. I still think that Mo Salah, give him time and a bit of confidence, will still score a shedload of goals.”
