PSG have reportedly dealt a transfer blow to Liverpool by refusing to sell a £40m winger the Reds were targeting this summer. The decision comes as Arne Slot’s side looked to bolster their attacking options, but the French champions have shut the door, at least for now.
Bradley Barcola was a massive player for Paris Saint-Germain last season and played a huge role in the team winning the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
The 22-year-old winger scored 21 times and registered 20 assists in all competitions in the last term, and emerged as one of the best wide forwards in European football.
Liverpool are interested in snaring him away from PSG this summer, but the French champions have delivered a major transfer blow to Slot’s plans.

Liverpool are almost certain to sign a winger if they sell Federico Chiesa and/or Luis Diaz this summer, and Barcola is one of their more ambitious targets.
However, the Reds have already shown in the ongoing window that they can surprise everyone by pulling off ambitious moves for top players.
But according to TBR Football, PSG have poured cold water over their plans of signing Barcola this summer.
The Parisians have made it clear that the winger is not for sale, and the club are under no financial pressure to sell him.
Barcola, who joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a £40m fee, has three years left on his contract and is happy at the Parc des Princes.
PSG could get more than double the sum they paid for him if they decide to sell the winger, but the French champions do not need the money.
Liverpool will have to target more attainable wingers if they want to sign one this summer.
