Liverpool are in the market for a number 9 this summer, and it is one of the top priorities, if not the biggest priority, of the summer transfer window. However, it appears one top striker target is set to snub the Reds in favour of a move to Manchester United.
Arne Slot has lost faith in Darwin Nunez, who has not started a league game since March, and the Dutchman is keen to move the Uruguayan on in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have been looking at number 9s for months, and it is still unclear who is now the top target for the club since Newcastle United will not sell Alexander Isak this summer.
The Merseyside giants have been considering a few Premier League options, but one of those strikers seems to have made up his mind about joining Manchester United.

Premier League striker wants Manchester United move

Liam Delap is wanted by half a dozen Premier League clubs this summer due to the ‘cheap’ £30m release clause in his Ipswich Town contract.
Liverpool have been keen to sign him as they see this as a wonderful opportunity to sign a top young striker with Premier League experience for a relatively small fee.
However, Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol insisted that Manchester United are in pole position to sign him, and despite their struggles this season, Delap feels they remain one of the biggest names in world football.
“What we are hearing this afternoon is that Manchester United are in pole position to sign him”, he said on Sky Sports News.
“One source has gone as far as telling us that he believes that the deal is very close and the player would be happy to move to Manchester United.
“Even though United are not having a great season, he still feels that they are a big, big club”.
