Liverpool told to "find a way" to sign £103M future superstar - Julian Ward could complete Jurgen Klopp's squad with final signing

Liverpool have been told by a former player to move for their star £103M midfield target now after their difficult start to the season.

The Reds have suffered back-to-back draws as well as having to deal with at least 10 injuries at the start of this season.

Injuries in midfield have revealed Liverpool's shaky midfield foundations that contains both ageing and out-of-form individuals.

Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool player Jamie Redknapp has claimed the time is now for Bellingham and argued it may be a case of 'needs must'.

Redknapp's comments on Bellingham

"It’s been a difficult start for them [Liverpool]. What it’s certainly shown everyone is that they are a little short in midfield," Redknapp stated.

"They said they are not going to go into the market, but I think they should and try and find a way to sign Jude Bellingham. That would be a brilliant signing for them. He’d be the one.

"Whoever looks after him, I know he’s got a great family unit around him, and they want him to have another year at Dortmund. Which is understandable because he’s done so well there and is learning the game."

"It does feel like it will happen in time that he goes to Liverpool, but sometimes it is a case of needs must. Thiago has already picked up a hamstring injury, and you’ve got James Milner and Jordan Henderson who aren’t young men anymore."

"Sometimes you have to get into the market as you don’t want to fall behind too quickly.”

The Reds were linked with him earlier in the window, with behind-the-scenes business making progress, according to some reports.

However, the 19-year-old superstar seems set for another season in Germany before he chooses his next club in what promises to be the major transfer saga of 2023.
