Liverpool could complete €59M signing before deadline day

Liverpool could complete a deal to sign Matheus Nunes before the deadline of the transfer window in what would be their third signing from Portugal this year.

If you include Fabio Carvalho, the Reds would have four signings from Portugal if they sign Nunes.

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz already joined the club from the Primeira Liga, signing them from Benfica and Porto respectively.

The league has become known for its fantastic exports in recent years and Liverpool’s scouting has allowed them to continue the development of the squad.

Liverpool have a very exciting squad ahead of the restart of the Premier League.

Harvey Elliott believes new Liverpool signing Fabio Carvalho is "a true superstar

Fans are excited about a front three of Nunez, Salah and Diaz while Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho are set for thrilling roles on either side of the midfield giving Jurgen Klopp the potential for a front four.

Matheus Nunes has been heavily linked with Reds recently and his addition would give Liverpool depth in midfield equal to the options he had in attack last season before Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi left.

The midfielder could cost as much as €59M which is not an insurmountable fee for an outfit like Liverpool even if they have already spent considerably this summer to sign Nunez.
