Fantasy Football: The key Liverpool players to get into your squad!

With a new season just around the corner, many fans will have been putting together their Fantasy Football squad.

New signings, players returning from injury and fine pre-season form are all taken into consideration when assembling the best-equipped side to claim dominance over any social group in the standings.

While plenty will get carried away with new signings and new ideas, there are several Liverpool players that should be ever-present within any good team.

To state the obvious, Mohamed Salah is a must-get despite his hefty price tag. Players have £100M to spend across the starting 11 and four substitutes.

Salah commands a value of £13M on his own and this may be seen as excessive but the Egyptian has proven his worth over the past seasons.

The prolific wide-man scored more points than any player over the course of the 2021/22 season with a massive 265 points amassed during the campaign.

Topping the goal scoring and assist charts last season contributed to Salah gaining so many points.

With a full summer break and a strong pre-season under his belt, Salah is poised to continue his goal-scoring and playmaking form this season.

He is also listed as a midfielder which means there is more space for even more attacking players within a squad.

Not far behind, in third place of the overall standings was defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Alexander-Arnold is unique in that he gains a large portion of his points in fantasy football for his contributions going forward despite being a defender.

Being part of a strong team means that the creative full-back wins a lot of points for the multiple clean sheets his side keeps as well as his large amount of assists.

As an alternative to Alexander-Arnold, his fellow full back, Andy Robertson is a very similar asset to Fantasy managers as he contributes almost as much as his teammate but takes fractionally less out of the budget.

The Scotland international is guaranteed to start the majority of Premier League games however he does have a very able back-up in Kostas Tsimikas in the event any rotation is required.

For this reason, it would appear to be the safer mover to spend a little extra on Alexander-Arnold.

The main issue with Liverpool players is that they are very expensive due to the club's recent success but these players are definitely worth splashing the cash on!

Will any of the mentioned players make it into your squad? Or do you have your eyes on anyone else within Jurgen Klopp’s side?
