A video has surfaced on social media showing all of Steven Gerrard's UEFA Champions League goals for the club - what a player he was.

One of Liverpool's greatest ever players, he famously captained his side to victory in the 2004/05 UCL campaign in one of the greatest cup finals of all time.

His total goal tally was 21 in 73 appearances and he has just been taken over for the most goals in the UCL at Anfield by Mohamed Salah, who edged out Gerrard's 14 goals with his opener against Ajax.

Gerrard may return to Anfield one day in the dugout, but for now, enjoy all 21 of his UCL games for his boyhood club.

Gerrard's personal accolades

Looking through Gerrard's individual accolades shows you just how good a player he was: he was in the PFA Team of the Year eight times, and that's just for starters.

He made the FIFA Pro World XI in 2007, 2008 and 2009 as well as the UEFA Team of the Year in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

In England, he was player of the month in the Premier League six times, Liverpool's player of the season four times and also won the FWA Player of the Year, PFA Fans' Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year.

During his time at the club, he won eight trophies, including a Champions League and in 710 games for Liverpool, he scored 186 goals and assisted 153, as well as 114 caps for England - a true legend of the game.
