Former Liverpool legend believes £81M star can be England's next world-class talent

Former Liverpool legend Paul Ince has claimed that Jude Bellingham, their £83M star target, could be England's next 'world-class' player.

The Reds have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund star for a long time now and his involvement with England and his performances have only amplified speculation.

With big clubs rivalling Liverpool in this potential deal, the 19-year-old will essentially have his pick of wherever he wants to go - with Jurgen Klopp hoping to tempt him over to Merseyside.

Speaking on Bellingham in an exclusive interview, Ince gave his unique insight into whether he should move to a big club next summer, whether he's ready and how the transition from the Bundesliga to the Premier League would be for the young star.

Ince on Bellingham

From top midfielder to another - Ince was speaking to fairbettingsites in an exclusive interview and weighed in on the future of Bellingham.

"I think the kid’s a very good player. I watched him when he was at Birmingham and I think it surprised a few when he went to Dortmund at such a young age.

"But, you know, he was brave enough to go out there. Some people don’t, especially English players who don’t like to go abroad."

He was asked about making that transition from German football to the Premier League - similar to how Jadon Sancho made the move.

"I always kind of feel as a young kid, you’re still, you’re still learning about the game. Yeah, there was a lot of talk about Sancho in Germany, but you look at the Bundesliga compared to the Premier League, it’s very different when you’re playing for a team like Dortmund. Unless you’re playing against Bayern Munich or Leipzig, most teams are beaten quite comfortably.

"I think it’s a case of getting the World Cup out of the way first and go from there."

Is now the right time for a move?

"It’s always tough when the big clubs come calling. But, you know, it looks like to me that he’s enjoying his time at Dortmund" Ince claimed.

"Why would he wanna move now? We know eventually he’s gonna come back to England. It’s just a case of which club feel they can get the best out of him when he does come back."

Rumours have recently claimed that Liverpool and Real Madrid are leading the race but they will face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea next summer. A transfer saga that has been described as a 'long race' by Fabrizio Romano.

Ince also claimed that he could join a few England players who could become world-class in the future.

"I think we’ve got a lot of players who could potentially be world-class players. We’ve got Harry Kane, he’s world-class, Phil Folden for me, he’s gonna turn into a world-class player.

"Declan Rice, he’s probably another one that you’d probably look at and think, yeah, if he continues to listen and learn and improve and do things the right way, then he’s another one who could be potentially a world-class player."

The latest reports claim nothing will happen before the World Cup in terms of a deal being made but following the conclusion of the tournament, the links will once again continue to circulate.
