Jurgen Klopp was fuming at fourth official after Ryan Gravenberch was stretchered off with horrible ankle injury

| by Michael Mongie

Ryan Gravenberch had to be stretchered off during the Carabao Cup final due to a challenge from Moises Caicedo that left Jurgen Klopp incensed.

Heading into the final, Liverpool were already seriously injury-stricken but what nobody accounted for was another player to go down to injury in this game.

Caicedo was extremely late to the ball and planted his studs on Gravenberch’s ankle. The tackle left him writhing in pain while Jurgen Klopp was seething with anger on the sidelines.

VAR even checked it so why referee Chris Kavanagh didn’t deem it worthy of a yellow is baffling but not out of the norm for referees this season.

The Reds have been on the receiving end of some dubious officiating this season but it’s no surprise Klopp gets so enraged.

After Gravenberch was taken off, Klopp could be seen ranting at fourth official Tim Robinson.
