Naby Keita will be fit to face Fulham tomorrow, the Liverpool Echo reports, despite illness which is a boost given midfield injuries cropping up already.
Pep Lijnders says “everybody forgets” about the Guinean midfielder but he will be a key player for the Reds this season.

He has seemingly broken the injury curse he was struck with when he joined the club.
Last season was his best in terms of availability and at times the only reason he was playing was Jurgen Klopp’s preference for Jordan Henderson at RCM.
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 to signing a new contract with the club according to the ever reliable @FabrizioRomano.

The German was spoilt for choice towards the end of last season as Liverpool fought to make history and win the quadruple.
It wasn’t to be and the players and fans had to make do with only two domestic cups but everyone connected with the club is proud of what was achieved.
Disregarding Liverpool’s quality last season is a dangerous mistake even if Sadio Mane has left the club.
They still reached the Champions League final and finished on 92 points which is more than some previous Premier League champions didn’t manage at their peaks.
Keita will be a key player for Jurgen Klopp this season and I believe his creativity will be a huge asset now that Liverpool have a natural no.9 at their disposal.
People might scoff at it, but Keita’s partnership with Timo Werner at RB Leipzig was amazing.
Since he joined the club for a fee worth around €60M, Keita has been in and out of the treatment room which has limited his contributions.
However, the talent that existed before his Anfield switch is still there – it just hasn’t been able to flourish.
Hopefully, this is the season he goes up a gear and helps Liverpool to some more silverware.
