Liverpool could have a new-look attack before the start of next season.
This year has showed how the reds need quality in that area to compete on all fronts. The signing of Federico Chiesa is yet to bear fruit this season. Despite that, Arne Slot has managed to get this Liverpool team firing on all cylinders. Mohamed Salah has been key to the attack this season; the forward has 24 goals and 15 assists in the Premier League so far.
The drop off between him and the rest of the attack is quite steep. And this could be why Arne Slot has asked for reinforcements. Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota have 26 goals combined. Three of these four will be made available in the summer per reports.

Greenwood could be involved in Barcelona deal for Liverpool star
It has been reported this week that Luis Diaz and his representatives have reached out to Liverpool over a new deal. However, the reds will put talks on hold till the end of the season. As it stands, the club’s priority remains the trio of Salah, Van Dijk and Trent. The reds are not in a hurry to offer a new deal to Diaz, who has two years left on his contract. But they plan to renew his deal soon.
This could potentially open the door for a move away. FC Barcelona have a long-standing interest in the Colombian since the start of last year. It has been rumoured that Liverpool are exploring a swap deal involving Diaz. The reds want to beef up their midfield by signing Frenkie de Jong, and are looking for ways to complete the move. According to TBR Football, any potential deal for Luis Diaz will depend on if Barcelona fail to sign Mason Greenwood. The Spanish side are assessing the former Manchester United star, who is seen as more of a priority than Diaz.

Multiple reports have indicated that at least two of the current attack could depart. Arne Slot has reportedly made his decision on Diogo Jota. Liverpool are also frustrated with the availability of the Portuguese forward. Darwin Nuenz could also be sold, with Italian clubs showing interest.
Come the start of next season, the reds need to revamp the attack if they want to stand a chance at competing for silverware.
