Alexander Isak is the top target for Liverpool as they push to sign a genuine world-class number 9 in the summer. Newcastle United are reluctant to lose their star player, but the Merseyside giants are very much involved in the race to sign him.
Liverpool are prepared to spend massive sums of money in the summer to back Arne Slot in the summer, and signing a striker is expected to be the headline of their next window.
Alexander Isak is the forward the Merseyside giants want in the next window, and Liverpool are ready to spend big money to try and take him to Anfield in the summer.
Newcastle are pushing to price him out of a move, but Liverpool are remaining involved and hoping to find an opening in the talks over the course of the summer.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players?
Alexander Isak remains on Liverpool’s transfer radar

Newcastle are hell-bent on insisting that they are in no mood to sell the forward, and are prepared to dig in their heels to keep him at St. James’ Park.
However, Liverpool are convinced the striker wants the move, and a chance to play alongside Mo Salah could be too hard to turn down for the Swede.
Newcastle are said to be ready to ask silly money for him to price him out of a move, and Ben Jacobs has insisted that the Reds will not pay over the odds for the striker.
However, he is insistent that Liverpool will table a bid if Newcastle are ready to accept a sensible amount of money.
“With Liverpool, I’m hearing they’re not going to drop £150m on [Alexander] Isak”, Jacobs said on GiveMeSport’s Market Madness podcast.
“But they’ll bid if he genuinely becomes available at a lower number.”
A transfer could come down to Isak agitating for a move, as for the moment, it seems Newcastle are not prepared to entertain any sensible offers.
