Liverpool are almost certain to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window. Darwin Nunez has failed to grab his opportunities and is expected to move on from Anfield in the coming months. A former Red has tipped a Bundesliga forward to move to Merseyside.
Arne Slot wants a new number 9 in the next transfer window. He has been left unimpressed by Nunez, who has failed to prove that he can be the long-term option for the Reds.
The forward is expected to leave at the end of the season, with a move to Saudi Arabia emerging as a real option for the striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
Alexander Isak is the top target, but Liverpool have other options on their radar as well. The Reds have been tipped to look at a prolific striker in the Bundesliga.

Serhou Guirassy has been a late bloomer at 29, but has continued to score goals this season at Borussia Dortmund, with 29 in 41 games in all competitions.
He has scored 59 goals in the last two seasons and is seen as one of the most prolific strikers in European football at the moment.
Dortmund are said to be willing to listen to offers of around €70m in the summer, and former Liverpool star Titi Camara feels a move to Anfield should suit him.
He believes Guirassy is the kind of number 9 who can link up well with Mo Salah in the Reds forward line.
“I would see him at Liverpool. It’s not a choice of the heart, but a sporting reflection”, Camara told Africa Foot.
“Liverpool don’t have a true number 9, and with Salah next to him, he would probably score a lot of goals.”
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool are ready to invest significant sums of money in a player who is in his late 20s.
