Liverpool’s £103M target Jude Bellingham broke a European scoring record last night during Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 win over FC Copenhagen.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the player and interest is said to be very high from Anfield.
A move was never going to materialise this summer, but next summer will be a very different story. Especially considering that Liverpool have Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all out of contract next summer.
As the season goes on, we expect his stock to continue to rise and it already has following his record-breaking goal against Copenhagen in the opening game of their Champions League campaign.

Bellingham breaking records once again
The record in question is that he has become the first English teenager to score in three successive Champions League campaigns (20/21, 21/22, 22/23) in what is an excellent feat for the 19-year-old.
Furthermore, he joins an exclusive club with five other teenagers to be the only players to have scored in three different Champions League campaigns as a teenager.
The other five teenagers include: Obafemi Martins, Karim Benzema, Bojan, Kylian Mbappé and Ansu Fati.
After all, he’s no stranger to breaking records; last season he broke Mbappe’s Champions League record to become the youngest scorer in consecutive games in their history.

High praise for Bellingham
Following the night of action in the Champions League, pundit and former Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves spoke about Bellingham and how highly coveted he is going to be next summer.
“He can go wherever he wants,” said Hargreaves on BT Sport. “You see now the young French boys they went to Real Madrid, that’s where everyone wants to go Real Madrid or Barcelona because everyone wants to play with attacking football. This kid is one of a kind.”
“Everyone’s going to want him, Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool. He’s got to decide. To turn around a club like Manchester United and get them back to the top, I think he could carry that burden. I think the young man – he’s not a defensive midfielder [or] a 10, he’s just between in an eight.”
Liverpool will face stiff competition from Europe’s elite for the English international’s signature, with the fee looking like it will be north of £100M. If he keeps performing and has a good World Cup on top of that, he could end up going for even more given that he’s still just only 19.
