Former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves has waxed lyrical over Jude Bellingham, claiming every club will want to sign him next summer.
The BT Sport pundit was speaking following Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 win over FC Copenhagen in the first round of the 2022/23 Champions League campaign.
The Reds have been continuously linked with the midfielder over the summer but Bellingham confirmed early on in the window that he will stay at the club until next summer at least.
Despite signing Arthur Melo on a loan deal on deadline day, they’ve got midfield trio James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all out of contract next summer meaning a move for a midfielder – such as Bellingham – is likely.

Hargreaves on Bellingham’s future
Speaking on BT Sport, the former Bayern Munich midfielder has always been vocal about Bellingham, mainly because of his time playing in Germany as a player.
He spoke following his brilliant performance against Copenhagen which saw him cap off a brilliant performance with a goal in a 3-0 victory.
“He can go wherever he wants,” said Hargreaves on BT Sport.

“You see now the young French boys they went to Real Madrid, that’s where everyone wants to go Real Madrid or Barcelona because everyone wants to play with attacking football. This kid is one of a kind.
“Everyone’s going to want him, Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool. He’s got to decide. To turn around a club like Manchester United and get them back to the top, I think he could carry that burden. I think the young man – he’s not a defensive midfielder [or] a 10, he’s just between in an eight.”
Bellingham has been noted as costing around £103M and Liverpool will face stiff competition from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid in what promises to be a transfer saga for the ages.
