Liverpool ready to pay Gavi's €50M release clause.

Liverpool are prepared to pay the €50M release clause in Barcelona midfielder Gavi’s contract amid reports Aurelien Tchouameni is set to join Real Madrid.

The Reds face the La Liga side in the Champions League final tomorrow in the battle to claim the title as the best side in Europe. It’s a fight for a spot in history.

But off the pitch and behind the scenes rages the battle to win future battles as the two clubs negotiate to sign AS Monaco powerhouse Tchouameni for €80million.

As an alternative Liverpool are trying to sign Gavi, the 17-year-old Spanish prodigy, that has shone brightly under Barcelona icon and maestro, Xavi, could join Jurgen Klopp’s incredible side this summer.

Sport journalist Jordi Gil claims that Liverpool are willing to pay the release clause in Gavi’s contract. It’s set at €50m and would be a massive show of faith to show in a literal child. In most countries, Gavi isn’t even technically an adult yet. But he’s worth it.

Gil reports that Barcelona have found Liverpool to be a “great threat” as the Reds do battle with another Spanish opponent. In the face of their Champions League battle with Real Madrid, the club’s transfer tacticians are putting in the groundwork for a thrilling move to sign Gavi.

Barcelona aren’t in the strongest financial position and could be tempted to cash in on the Spaniard. At 17, he is one of the most enjoyable players to watch and has so much room to learn and develop.

Klopp has shown that he can help players unlock their potential. He’s taken players like Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to superstar status and has developed Trent Alexander-Arnold into a fullback veteran at 23.
