Liverpool want to sign Bellingham in September except it’s 16-year-old Jobe – the brother of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude.

Liverpool want Bellingham and Garnacho – Ready to hijack deal from United
Liverpool are investigating a move to sign Birmingham City’s Jobe Bellingham in September and also want to hijack a deal for Alejandro Garnacho but face serious competition, according to Dinesh Kumar.
Jobe is the 16-year-old brother of Dortmund’s superstar Jude while Garnacho is a 17-year-old in Manchester United’s youth ranks.
According to Kumar, Jobe’s parents want to be assured that he will have playing time and that a Liverpool move is not related to interest in Jude.
That said, their parents are not opposed to both playing for the Reds if it benefits both of their careers.
Liverpool want to sign 16-year-old Bellingham in September but the reason is unclear why although it may have to do with Jobe only turning 17 on the 23rd of September which means he would only be able to sign a professional contract then.
If Liverpool want Bellingham and Garnacho, what are the obstacles?
As reported above, Bellingham’s parents are keen to ensure Jobe is not exploited in the pursuit of Jude, who Dortmund would demand around £100million for.
Playing time is a major issue as Liverpool are in the hunt for all silverware possible under Jurgen Klopp and so it’s difficult to make room for a 16-year-old turning 17.
Harvey Elliott, considered a future superstar, struggled for game time in the second half of last season as Liverpool turned the heat up in all four competitions.
If the 19-year-old battled to find game time easy to come by, it’s difficult to imagine Jobe making it into an engine room frequented by Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho.
The same goes for Garnacho, with his preferred left-wing role occupied by Luis Diaz.
Especially when the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni (now a Real Madrid player) and Gavi (subject of a contract offer) have been on Liverpool’s radar this summer.
Signing Garnacho is obviously complicated by him playing for Manchester United but with his contract expiring in two weeks, there is scope to hijack a deal for him.
The young United star also recently posted a photo of him with Mohamed Salah.
