Liverpool have been on the end of two shock results over the past week.
The reds exited the FA Cup to Plymouth last Sunday. The Championship club were near the bottom of the league, but managed to sneak a 1-0 win. In their game in hand on Wednesday night, Liverpool dropped points to bitter rivals Everton. A late equalizer from James Tarkowski ensured that the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park ended in a draw. There was a lot of controversy in the game surrounding referee Michael Oliver, who sent off two players and Arne Slot after the full time whistle.
In both games, Liverpool failed to take their chances. It was Mohamed Salah who came up with the goods as he was directly involved in both goals. The reds still sit top of the Premier League, seven points clear ahead of their game against Wolves on Sunday.

Heading into the summer, there have been multiple reports that Liverpool are looking to shake up their attacking options. Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have been heavily linked with moves away from Anfield. The club will possibly be in the market for fresh faces in attack.
Caught Offside reports that Liverpool hold a strong interest in PSV winger Johan Bakayoko. The winger scored against Liverpool when they met in the Champions League a few weeks ago. Arsenal are said to be interested in the 21-year old. PSV are holding out for a £50million fee. The winger has seven goals in the Eredivisie and two goals in the Champions League this campaign.
There are better options than Bakayoko
Liverpool could do better for the reported price. Bakayoko is a great talent, however the level of player needed in attack is slightly higher. The reds could lose Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota soon. So the main thing Liverpool and Arne Slot will be focused on is signing a player with end product. The Belgian is young and has a lot of things to work on in his game, despite the high potential he has showcased over the past year.
Bakayoko just has one season in the Dutch top flight where he has scored more than 10 goals. Liverpool have been linked with players like Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak and Bryan Mbeumo who are much better fits with the team.
