Arne Slot has done a great job handling major problems at Liverpool this season.
When he arrived last summer, no one really gave the reds a chance to compete for silverware. The squad heading into this season was also unimpressive according to fans and pundits. But Slot has turned a lot of things around. His new tactics and system have brought the best out of some players in the team. Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones are having much better seasons than they had last year.
Liverpool have also found a temporary solution for their issues up top. Since Slot arrived, he has moved Darwin Nunez to the bench in favour of using wide players in that role. Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota have taken turns as the team’s number nine to very good results. The tactical switch has done the job so far, but Liverpool will address the position this summer.

Liverpool hit complication in Isak deal

Liverpool will be in the market for a center forward ahead of next season. The club have accepted that they cannot go into the new campaign with Darwin Nunez as the only natural option up front. This means that the Uruguayan could possibly leave Anfield at the end of the season. Liverpool are reportedly open to selling the 25-year old for the right offer.
This summer, it has been made clear that Alexander Isak is Liverpool’s major target. The Newcastle striker has been in great form this season, scoring 20 goals. Isak also found the back of the net as the magpies beat Liverpool in the League Cup final at Wembley.
It has now been reported that there is a huge complication with the potential deal for Alexander Isak. According to James Pearce, there is a major stumbling block. Newcastle are still demanding a £150million fee and will only take close to that amount to part ways. The magpies are adamant that they will be financially stable this summer, and will not need to sell their best players. This becomes a problem for Liverpool, as the club are discussing improving multiple areas of the team. The reds are reluctant to pay the fee for Isak, which could lead to them pulling out of a potential transfer.
