Report suggests Liverpool could see incoming signings and outgoings before the transfer deadline

Naby Keita

Liverpool could well be in line for a busy end to the transfer window, with reports claiming players could both leave and come into the squad.

Fans are becoming frustrated with injuries to key players, a suspension to contend with, and back-to-back draws.

Pressure is mounting to do some kind of business, given that rivals have spent and are continuing to line up spending from now until the end of the window.

The Express claims we could see incomings and outgoings at Anfield but who exactly could be involved?

Who could come in?

With injuries to key midfielders, Liverpool fans have been crying out for some quality depth.

They’ve already lost out on Matheus Nunes to Wolves and now new targets have arisen that are financially viable, as long as they strike now.

It’s easy for us to bring a midfielder in, it’s not so easy to bring the right midfielder in – for money reasons and contractual reasons,” Klopp told Sky Sports.

Saying that, they are players available.

According to 90Min, the Reds are one of a number of teams closely monitoring Brighton’s Moises Caicedo – the 20-year-old impressed against Manchester United, has 23 caps for Ecuador and is currently on low wages.

Looking further into Europe, AC Milan’s Ismael Bennacer has just rejected a new contract deal from the club, citing that he wants an increase on his current deal which pays £35,000 a week.

CalcioMercatoWeb reported that the Anfield club were considering a €40M (£33.5M) bid for the star a few weeks ago and an official bid may be close.

With an injury to Diogo Jota and now a three-game suspension for Darwin Nunez, the Reds look a little light up front.

But, according to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool aren’t looking to panic-buy anyone in that area.

Spanish reports claim Yeremy Pino could “end up in the Premier League by the end of the window”.

According to Spanish journalist Xavi Jorquera Márquez, Liverpool and Arsenal have already put a €40M (£33.8M) bid “on the table” for Villarreal wonder kid Pino.

Who could realistically leave?

Having already let go the likes of Ben Davies, Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi and Neco Williams leave, it’s likely any outgoings from now will include loan moves for some of their talented youngsters.

Sepp van den Berg, Paul Glatzel, Max Woltman and Jake Cain all look set for a loan move – as they hope to follow in the footsteps of Tyler Morton and Leighton Clarkson who’ve made good starts to their loan moves.

Another player whose future is in the air is Nat Phillips who started the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday.

He was heavily linked with a move to Bournemouth earlier this summer, but he will remain around the first team as cover with Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate both out injured.

Lastly, according to Plettigoal, Naby Keita is unhappy with his current situation in Liverpool. There were talks about a contract extension but they have stopped now.

His departure is possible regardless of Thiago and Oxlade-Chamberlain. If he leaves it surely means Liverpool would move for a midfielder.
