Liverpool could agree Jude Bellingham deal which would see Naby Keita go the other way, according to reports

Jude Bellingham

Liverpool could agree a sensational deal for Jude Bellingham and they are ready to let Naby Keita leave for nothing to secure the deal.

The Reds are currently debating whether to enter the market to solve their injury issues with up to 10 players sidelined at the current time.

With links to various midfielders, today’s reports claim Naby Keita is reportedly unhappy with his current situation at the club.

That has lent itself to reports that the club are willing to lose the Guinean international in favour of replacing him with long-term target Jude Bellingham.

Latest reports on Bellingham and Keita

The reports today claim that Keita is unhappy at Anfield with his contract situation – there were talks about a contract extension but they have stopped now. His departure is possible regardless of Thiago and Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Talks will take place but there is a feeling among fans that Keita has not earned Jurgen Klopp’s full trust during his time at the club.

Some have suggested that Keita has struggled with his squad status after being the main man when he was at RB Leipzig.

With the player in the last year of his deal, the club is apparently ready to let him leave for free next summer in the hope of securing Jude Bellingham as a replacement, as per the Daily Mail.

Bellingham, 19, decided to stay in Germany for another season but could have easily moved to any number of top clubs this summer.

The Reds were linked previously and had conducted some talks with his representatives behind the scenes which were said to be progressing well – but not much has been heard since.

He’s someone that Klopp is a huge admirer of and even former players have come out in recent days to claim that Liverpool needs a boost in midfield and signing him now rather than next summer was the way forward.

With Keita unhappy and two weeks left in the window, we will surely discover what Liverpool’s plans are regarding their midfield.
