Liverpool title hero stuns everyone with transfer call

Liverpool have already made some bold transfer calls this summer, and some chips are expected to fall into place this week. However, the club will need to get a move on the future of certain players, and one such star has made a big decision regarding his time at Anfield.

The Merseyside giants hope to get a deal over the line to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, which is expected to shatter transfer records in the Premier League this summer.

Liverpool have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from the German club and are keen to secure the signature of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez in the coming days.

The club are now shifting their focus to moving on a few players this summer, and one such star has now made a definitive decision over his future at Anfield.

Liverpool star makes transfer decision over his long-term future at Anfield

Federico Chiesa earned a league winners’ medal in his first season at Liverpool, but made just one start in the Premier League all campaign.

Liverpool are open to letting him go, and he has been attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League and Spain, where Atletico Madrid have their eyes on him.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the winger clearly knows what he wants in the ongoing transfer window.

Chiesa’s priority is to return to Italy, where several Serie A clubs are interested in getting their hands on the former Fiorentina and Juventus attacker.

AC Milan have already made a loan approach, and Chiesa is also being assessed as an option by Serie A champions Napoli this summer.

He is happy at Liverpool, but a lack of regular minutes is a problem, and the winger is prepared to move on and return to his homeland ahead of next season.
