Liverpool title hero could leave just days after winning the league

Liverpool are on the verge of winning the Premier League this season, but there is expected to be an exodus of players from Anfield in the summer. It is now emerging that a top player could move on from the club just days after lifting the Premier League.

Arne Slot wants to completely reconfigure the attack, and following Mo Salah’s new contract, the Liverpool manager wants to surround him with a few young and energetic forwards.

But most importantly, the Reds want to sign a new number 9 as Darwin Nunez has struggled to justify the big money the Reds paid to sign him from Benfica in 2022.

Liverpool are considering offers to sell Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Diogo Jota, and it seems one of them could leave as soon as the season ends in May.

The Reds forward could leave soon after winning the league

Nunez is the most likely to leave, given Liverpool’s interest in bringing in a new number 9 to replace the Uruguayan in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Al Hilal wanted him in the winter window, but Liverpool rejected an offer from the Saudi Arabian side in January. They could come back for him in the coming weeks.

The Saudi side offered the striker a £558,000-a-week contract to sign him in January, and those are the kind of numbers he could earn if he moves in the summer.

Al Hilal are in the Club World Cup, and clubs participating in the competition will be allowed to sign players in a special window before the tournament.

If the Saudis still want Nunez, there is a real chance the striker could move on from Liverpool as soon as the season ends and move to Al Hilal.
