Liverpool want to bring in real quality to enhance their squad after winning the Premier League this season. Several players are being assessed, but it seems one of those targets has decided against moving to Anfield in the upcoming transfer window.
Arne Slot is not keen to stand still after winning the Premier League, and Liverpool are prepared to back him with as many as five new signings this summer.
The Merseyside giants are set to welcome Jeremie Frimpong as their first major signing of the summer soon, but the club have other priorities in the market.
The Reds are keen to sign a number 10 to add more creativity to their team, but it seems one of their top targets is likely to reject a move to Anfield this summer.
Can you name the team Liverpool signed these players from in the 2000s?

Sporting director Richard Hughes is holding talks with agents and intermediaries to ensure the Reds land the number 10 they want this summer.
However, according to journalist Graeme Bailey, Liverpool are unlikely to succeed in signing a proven Premier League talent this summer.
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has been a top target, and Liverpool have been trying to find a way to sign him ahead of next season.
However, Bailey believes the midfielder is unlikely to leave Villa Park ahead of next year’s World Cup for fear of jeopardising his chances of being in the England squad.
“Liverpool love Morgan Rogers, there’s no getting away from that”, he told TBR Football.
“But it’s highly unlikely that Rogers leaves for more than one reason. With a lot of these players, the feedback I’m getting from the players’ camps is that they are very mindful that we’re in a World Cup cycle now.
“So someone like Rogers…if he leaves now, if he goes to Liverpool, for instance, then playing devil’s advocate, and it doesn’t work out, he’s not going to the World Cup.”
