Liverpool stun Newcastle United with a swoop for £100m Brazil star

Liverpool have made early moves in the market, which has sent shockwaves across Europe. However, they have no plans to slow down, and the Reds are now ready to steal a top target from under Newcastle United’s nose in the upcoming transfer window.

With the Premier League season done, the club are already looking forward to the summer and the new campaign with vigour and have no plans to slow down in the coming months.

Liverpool are close to finalising a sensational deal to sign Florian Wirtz, which has annoyed Manchester City executives who were under the impression that he was going to join Bayern Munich this summer.

Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerlez are also expected to arrive soon, and Liverpool are now looking to hijack Newcastle’s pursuit of a Brazilian striker in the upcoming transfer window.

Newcastle want Brazil forward, but the Reds are pushing to sign him

Newcastle do not want to sell Alexander Isak to Liverpool, and are now pushing to bring in one more striker to support the Swede up front next season.

According to talkSPORT, the Magpies are interested in getting their hands on Brighton forward Joao Pedro in the upcoming transfer window.

However, Liverpool want him as well, and are prepared to spoil Newcastle’s plans of signing the Brazil international ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The Merseyside giants have the edge in the race as they could offer the starting striker role to Pedro, which Newcastle can’t as Isak is their main man up front.

However, the price is going to be a problem as Brighton have slapped a £100m asking price on the forward ahead of the summer transfer window.

Liverpool would want to negotiate that price down if they are to sign Pedro, given they are set to break transfer records to sign Wirtz.
