Liverpool are keen to show ambition in the market after winning the Premier League this season. They have the funds to go for a superstar signing, and the club have a clear advantage over a top European club in pursuit of a world-class player in the summer.
Arne Slot is open to adding some stardust to his squad, especially in the attack, to take the squad to the next level after winning the Premier League this season.
The Liverpool manager wants more flair and creativity in his team next season and to end their overreliance on Mo Salah for goals and assists in the coming years.
Liverpool are looking at several young forwards and number 10s, but the club are now pushing to secure a deal for an absolute superstar player this summer.
Can you name these 10 Liverpool players from the 2000s?
The Reds have a clear advantage over European giants

Florian Wirtz has emerged as the most shocking target for Liverpool, who have already held talks with the player’s camp this summer.
Bayern Munich have agreed on a contract with the player, but Liverpool have not given up, and are scheduled for more conversations with the player.
Bundesliga expert Ronan Murphy has claimed that Liverpool have a clear advantage over the German giants as the latter need to sell players to afford Wirtz’s transfer fee.
“There are a lot of reasons for him to go to Bayern Munich, but there’s a hundred and fifty million reasons why he won’t go to Bayern Munich because they will have to sell players to be able to afford him to balance the books”, Murphy told Anfield Watch.
“Players like Kingsley Coman, maybe, will have to be sold or Sacha Boey or players that maybe don’t have the same sort of market value.
“I think it does [gives an advantage to Liverpool].”
