In a surprise move that’s set tongues wagging on Merseyside, a Liverpool star has reportedly rejected interest from both Leeds United and Nottingham Forest to stay put at Anfield. With his future the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, the decision marks a dramatic U-turn — and could give Arne Slot a timely boost heading into the new season.
Liverpool went into the summer transfer window with a few ideas, which included selling a few players to make space in their squad and the wage bill for new players.
The Merseyside giants are on the cusp of signing Florian Wirtz in a record deal, and are also set to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth in the ongoing transfer window.
Plans are constantly changing, and it seems, a Liverpool star is now ready to snub interest from Leeds and Nottingham Forest to stay at Anfield next season.

Liverpool star set to reject Leeds and Nottingham Forest

Andy Robertson’s willingness to leave Liverpool this summer has changed plans at Anfield regarding the future of Kostas Tsimikas.
The Greek defender is a top target for Leeds, but Nottingham Forest are believed to be the favourites to sign the left-back in the ongoing window.
However, Tsimikas has indicated that he is happy at Liverpool and does not mind being a squad player at Anfield rather than play 50 games for a smaller club.
“It’s definitely a temptation to play more”, Tsimikas told Sport24.
“But for me, the 27-29 games I play every year in all competitions are more than playing 40 for another team and in another league.
“Here I am on the Broadway of football.
“I’m happy here, for five years I’ve always been happy with these players I had by my side and with the jersey I wore.
“It’s very difficult to reach such a level, to play in 27 games in a season with a Liverpool shirt.
“If you think about it, not all players play 50 games; some play 50, others 10, others play five. I think 27 games I played on average over the last four years is a good number.
“I would definitely like to play more, but from then on in this league, with this team, I was always happy and I always gave my best, so I was OK with the games I played.”
With Kerkez set to arrive, it seems Tsimikas is more inclined to be a back-up left-back than Robertson next season.
