The Reds are set to secure the signature of Jeremie Frimpong and have made a headline-grabbing move for Florian Wirtz, who is now expected to choose Liverpool as his next club.

A Reds star is ready to give up some money to leave Anfield

Federico Chiesa made his first Premier League start since joining the club last summer in the 3-2 defeat against Brighton on Monday night.

It was only his sixth Premier League appearance of the season, and it seems like a certainty that he will leave Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window.

He has suitors in Italy, and according to La Stampa, he is ready to accept a pay cut to force his way out of Anfield in the coming weeks and months.

Napoli have shown the most concrete interest in the winger by offering to sign him on loan with an option to buy, but Liverpool want a permanent sale.

The Serie A giants have been in contact with Chiesa to enquire whether he would be prepared to take a hit on his €7m per year salary, and have received a positive response.

Napoli are prepared to offer him a four-year contract to return to Italy if he continues to show a willingness to make a financial sacrifice.
