However, half a dozen Premier League sides are interested in signing the striker, and his wage demands are expected to be a problem for the Reds.

Liverpool remain keen to sign him, but according to talkSPORT, the former Manchester City man has a clear preference for his next club.

It has been claimed that Delap wants to choose Manchester United over other destinations in the upcoming summer transfer window.

He is one of the priority targets for Ruben Amorim, who is desperate to add more goals to his squad before the start of the 2025/26 season.

Manchester United are now in pole position to sign the Ipswich Town striker despite half the Premier League showing an interest in him.
