Liverpool have sounded out potential targets in the upcoming transfer window.
The reds are still working on plans to revamp the first team squad ahead of next season. Liverpool are set to back Arne Slot and give him the quality squad depth that was lacking this season. In crucial ties against Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle, the reds could not count on their bench to change the game. Even the starters provided no threat when Mohamed Salah was marked out in both games.
Slot has asked for a whole list of new players, and will work with Richard Hughes to make it happen.

Liverpool set sights on agreeing deal with Trent replacement

With the imminent departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, the reds will be in the market for a new right back. Reports this week have linked Liverpool with Bayer Leverkusen wingback Jeremie Frimpong. The Dutch international has four goals and five assists in the Bundesliga so far.
It has now been reported that Liverpool might choose to go another way to replace Trent. According to Graeme Bailey, the reds are close to agreeing a new long-term contract for Conor Bradley. This comes hours after Fabrizio Romano revealed that insiders at Anfield are very high on the defender. And that they feel he can become a regular in the first team under Arne Slot.
“In terms of right-back, what I’m hearing is that they are very happy with Conor Bradley. They believe that Conor Bradley can be part of this future Liverpool squad. They believe he’s a huge talent.
“The responsibility of being the starting right-back at Liverpool is going to be completely different, but they feel this boy has everything in place in order to become an important player for Arne Slot.”
Liverpool could head into next season without signing a new right back.
Is Conor Bradley fit to replace Trent?
The youngster is set to follow in the footsteps on Trent Alexander-Arnold. He broke into the team after years with the youth teams, and is a right back gifted with attacking ability. However, the only knocks on him so far are his inexperience and recent injuries. He showed against Real Madrid that he was fearless when he put that crunching tackle on Kylian Mbappe.
Regardless of how good Conor Bradley is, Liverpool will need competition alongside him. The reds cannot go into next season with Jarrel Quansah as Bradley’s backup. But if Arne Slot and the club really trust him, then he deserves all the backing.
