The agency of Liverpool goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzyński have announced that the 21-year-old has left on loan for the season to join Spartakos Kitiou.
EFL Sports agency hail him as an “ultra-talented” member of the Liverpool setup but he has now departed on loan to gain some valuable experience.
Standing at 1.96m, Ojrzyński is a massive figure in goal and will likely thrive in the 2. Division in Cyprus.
After joining Liverpool in 2019 from Legia Warsaw, he signed a long-term contract two years later and following loan spells with Caernarfon Town, Radomiak Radom and Den Bosch, he needs to capitalise on this latest opportunity to make an impression on new manager Arne Slot.
His chances of breaking into the first team will be harmed by the arrival of Mamardashvili next season but he still has a fighting chance. If he can perform at a high level in Cyprus, there is no telling what might happen for him.
After sealing his loan move, Spartakos Kitiou made an official statement.
It reads: “The exceptional Polish goalkeeper, an international for his country, arrives in Cyprus with the highest prospects.
“This is a massive transfer for the league, showcasing Spartakos Kitiou’s ambitious goals.
“Additionally, we are pleased to officially announce our collaboration with Liverpool FC.”
