Liverpool have been working on a deal to sign Marc Guehi this summer, and the club have edged past Newcastle in the chase to sign the defender.

According to transfer journalist Krrish, Liverpool have a verbal agreement in place with the England centre-back to move to Anfield in the ongoing window.

The Merseyside giants have finalised personal terms on a contract with the representatives of Guehi ahead of approaching Palace for his signature.

Guehi will sign a five-year deal if and when he completes his move to Liverpool this summer.
