Liverpool are in desperate need of a number 9 this summer, and the club are working hard to bring in a world-class striker. The Merseyside giants are now ready to get creative to sign the forward they want, and work is underway on a jaw-dropping swap deal.
Darwin Nunez is almost certain to move on from Liverpool this summer as Arne Slot has lost faith in a striker who has not started a league game since March.
Nunez has offers from Saudi Arabia, where Al-Hilal are prepared to spend big money to sign him in time for the Club World Cup, which starts next month.
The forward also has offers from European clubs, and Liverpool are now trying to leverage that interest to land a top forward in the upcoming transfer window.

Richard Hughes plotting mega swap deal

Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign Victor Osimhen for Liverpool when he joined Serie A giants Napoli in 2020, and he is again expected to be on the move this summer.
Napoli are ready to sell him when he returns from his loan deal at Galatasaray this summer, and several clubs are interested in signing the forward.
Liverpool have already held talks with his representatives, and according to Liverpool World, the Reds could offer a mega swap deal to Napoli.
The Serie A giants have their eyes on Nunez, and Liverpool are considering offering him to Napoli in a swap deal that would see Osimhen move to Anfield.
Hughes is eyeing to kill two birds with one stone – shift out Nunez while replacing him with an obvious upgrade, such as the Nigerian striker.
However, the two clubs will have to settle on a value for both players and check whether any exchange of money also needs to take place as part of the deal.
