Liverpool have already made shockwaves in the market with their moves, and are keen to show more ambition in the coming days. However, the Reds are also facing the prospect of watching a player leave that Arne Slot does not want to sell this summer.
Slot has a few clear ideas ahead of the transfer window, and the club are working accordingly to ensure that he has a better squad at his disposal next season, despite winning the league this year.
Their pursuit of Florian Wirtz has grabbed headlines, but the Reds are also in the market for a striker, a defender and a left-back to properly strengthen the squad.
The Liverpool manager also does not want to lose some of his important players, but it seems one such star could be lured away from Anfield in the upcoming transfer window.

A top sporting director name-drops a Reds star as a potential target

Barcelona sporting director Deco was recently asked about the wingers the club are considering signing in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The former midfielder revealed Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is on their radar. However, he also mentioned Luis Diaz as a potential target for the Catalan giants.
He said: “We like Luis Diaz, we like Rashford… and we like other wingers too.
“We can’t talk about players under contract with other clubs.”
Barcelona’s interest in Diaz is not new, and he has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp this summer.
However, this is the first time the club have openly acknowledged their admiration of the player and the fact that they are considering signing him.
Liverpool are in talks with Diaz over a new deal, but if negotiations do not go according to plan, he could be sold despite how important a player he has been for Slot this season.
