Liverpool are in the market for a number 9 this summer. Sporting director Richard Hughes has prioritised signing a striker over other players, and even Arne Slot is desperate to have a top goalscorer at the tip of his forward line next season.
Darwin Nunez has not started a Premier League game since March and is almost certain to leave the Merseyside giants in the summer transfer window.
Saudi outfit Al-Hilal are interested in offering a lucrative contract to move to the Middle East, and he has also been linked with a shock move to South America with River Plate.
However, the Uruguayan could still stay in Europe, and Liverpool could gain leverage on one of their top targets through Nunez’s exit in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
The Reds have their eyes on a World Cup winner

Nunez has failed to justify his billing at Liverpool since arriving at Liverpool, and will be seen as a failed experiment once he leaves Anfield this summer.
However, according to Anfield Watch, Liverpool are eyeing an audacious swoop by using the striker as a bargaining chip with a top European clubs.
Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the striker, and Liverpool are prepared to sell Nunez to the Spanish giants for a cut-price fee of £35m on one condition.
It has been claimed Liverpool have their eyes on Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez and want to take him to Anfield in the upcoming summer window.
They are prepared to sell Nunez for a reasonable fee as long as Atletico Madrid give them favourable terms on a deal to sign the former Manchester City attacker.
Alvarez is happy in Spain, but Liverpool are among the very few clubs who could tempt him to move on from the Wanda Metropolitano in the upcoming window.
The Reds are prepared to pay up to £100m for a forward who has previously played in the Premier League for Manchester City.
