A rumour has been doing the rounds on social media the last few days and fans hope that it could be to do with a brand new signing.
Speaking after Liverpool’s draw with Athletic Bilbao, Jurgen Klopp said: “I am very happy with the squad, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t look at the market.
“But as long as nothing happens, I am more than happy with the squad I have. I am more than happy with the players I have.
“We have a big squad and there might be something happening until the end of the transfer window, but I cannot say anything about that at the moment.”
A rumour cropped up on Twitter in the last few days that “Liverpool FC have booked St George’s Hall for a special reveal on August 12th.”
There’s supposedly meant to be a fireworks show at Anfield as well while an animation crew has also been hired.
Many fans on social media have jumped the gun and assumed that this means that Liverpool have made a marquee signing like Kylian Mbappe and are set to announce him in style.
However, after winning the Premier League in style for the first time in 30 years but without supporters to celebrate with, it’s likely the club is now planning to celebrate with the fans.

Prem celebration or maybe a 3rd kit reveal. Could be a signing as well 👀

We should probably all take Jimmy’s advice and just wait and see if there is anything at all to get excited about at all.
However, that’s not fun at all! Personally, I doubt the Reds would unveil a third kit with fireworks while an animation crew could be used to film and edit the process of producing the video to market the product to sell to fans.
On the other hand, it seems even more unlikely that a club like Liverpool, which tries so hard to avoid making a fuss of new signings to ensure its existing squad feels just as important, would need fireworks to announce a new signing even if it was Kylian Mbappe.
Actually, especially if it was Kylian Mbappe.
It seems most likely that Liverpool have something planned regarding the Premier League title won in 2020 which wasn’t celebrated with fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If it is a signing, it will be great to see Liverpool finally add to their squad after months of waiting.
