Arne Slot started his Liverpool tenure with a statement. The Dutch manager won the Premier League in his first season as the Reds manager.
No other Liverpool manager since the Premier League era has ever achieved this feat. In fact, none of them even touched a piece of silverware in their first season at Anfield.
Despite signing only two players through the summer transfer window in his first tenure, the Dutchman helped the club finish 10 points clear ahead of second-placed Arsenal as the Gunners managed to garner 74 points.
The Reds won 25 matches last season in the league, including a home win against Merseyside rivals Everton. The Reds also managed to score in every away league game for the first time in the club’s history.
The FA Cup was almost within grasp, too, but ex-Newcastle United star Alexander Isak sealed the deal in the second half as the final ended in a 2-1 win for the Magpies.
Following the incidents, Liverpool went on to sign the Swedish striker in the summer transfer window for £125m. This deal broke the record for the biggest British transfer deal in football history.
Egyptian king Mohamed Salah ended up as league top scorer as the African scored 29 league goals with 34 in total across all competitions. Salah also levelled Steven Gerrard’s record after winning the Liverpool Player of the Season award for the fifth time.

Liverpool score the highest probability to win the English Premier League this season

International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) said that Liverpool have the highest probability to win the 25/26 English Premier League.
The research and education centre has given the Reds a 28.9% chance of grasping the silver again under Arne Slot. Arsenal stand second with a probability of 18.8% as the Gunners haven’t secured the title since 2003-04.
Chelsea come in third as CIES ranks them above Manchester City with a probability of 16.2% proving close competition to Arsenal.
The Blues haven’t won the league title in a decade as Antonio Conte departed a season later. Manchester City are also pretty close to Arsenal and Chelsea, with a probability of 14.4%.
Pep Guardiola might be looking at the final years as the City manager, with the Spaniard’s contract expiring in 2027. The former FC Barcelona midfielder made it clear that he has no intentions of managing any other club after leaving Manchester City.
The Reds stand a clear chance to win two Premier League titles in a row, as the achievement would mean the first time it managed to.
