However, Slot has shown this season he doesn’t have enough trust in his squad, and wants to bring in more options to compete for all major trophies next year.

The next window is expected to be the biggest in the club’s history, in terms of spending, but it is unclear whether FSG would want to finance eight to ten new arrivals.

The Liverpool owners are known for being judicious about the money they spend, and while they are prepared to back Slot, bringing in eight to ten new players would be an unprecedented level of spending.
