Liverpool have made some stunning transfer moves to shock everyone in the Premier League and Europe, but the club also need a few sales. However, a top player, who has been expected to leave Anfield, has done a major U-turn on his future this summer.

The Merseyside giants are set to spend big money this summer, with the highlight of their transfer window expected to be the club-record signing of Florian Wirtz.

However, the club will need to get a move on when it comes to player sales, and they have already bagged a fee of £18m from the departure of Caoimhin Kelleher this summer.

Liverpool have identified several players who are expected to bring in good fees, but one such title hero has done a major U-turn on his future in the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool star does major transfer U-turn

Harvey Elliott was a bit-part player at Liverpool last summer, and he has indicated that he wants to move on from Anfield in the ongoing transfer window.

He has several offers from the Premier League, but Nottingham Forest have identified him as one of their top targets for this summer.

However, according to Football Insider, Elliott has turned down a move to the City Ground in the ongoing transfer window.

The attacking midfielder was a major target for the Forest, but the player is not interested in joining the Premier League side this summer.

A move to Italy appeals to him more, as it has been claimed that his game is suited to Serie A.

Two Serie A clubs have already opened talks to secure a potential deal to take Elliott to Italy in the coming weeks.

However, Liverpool’s £50m asking price needs to come down if the midfielder is to move to Italy this summer.
