Liverpool handed huge boost in pursuit of attacking sensation

Liverpool are expected to be in the market for wide forwards next summer as there are serious concerns that Mohamed Salah will leave the club on a free transfer.

The Reds are growing increasingly wary of losing Salah on a free transfer to the Saudi Pro League who are prepared to offer him a massive contract to move to the Middle East.

The winger has not signed a contract with the Reds but has remained an influential figure and their talisman up front this season under new manager Arne Slot.

The attacker is said to be torn over staying at Anfield or taking up the offer to become the face of the Saudi Pro League from next season onwards.

Liverpool want to hold on to the club icon but are doing their due diligence by keeping tabs on seven forwards who could come in and potentially replace or succeed Salah in their team.

Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz is one of the names the club are tracking but they are also facing competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Liverpool have the edge

Both Premier League clubs admire the winger and have been keeping an eye on his performances over the last few months.

However, according to Football Talk, the Merseyside giants have the slight edge in the race to sign the Juventus attacker next summer.

Arsenal admire him but they are eyeing the winger as a potential cover for Bukayo Saka who remains the first-choice attacker on the right for the Gunners.

However, Liverpool’s interest in Yildiz stems from the fact that they could lose Salah on a free transfer next summer.

Even if the Egyptian signs a new contract, Yildiz will still have a chance to come in, adapt and become Salah’s long-term replacement.

Saka is set to be the talisman at Arsenal for years to come and the Juventus winger is unlikely to ever get the chance to be the main man at the Emirates.

However, he recently signed a new contract at Juventus and the Serie A giants are unlikely to want to sell him soon unless they receive a silly offer on their table for him.
