Liverpool eye shock move for Bayern Munich superstar

Liverpool are cautiously putting together a plan in place for the next summer transfer window as sporting director Richard Hughes is aware that a lot of work needs to be done from now until the end of the season.

The Reds want to be more aggressive in the market while making sure they manage to hold on to their top stars such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool are likely to focus on bringing in more young talents but the club are also aware that a sprinkling of stardust would also go a long way in providing legitimacy to the new project at Anfield.

Recruitment meetings at Anfield have involved club officials discussing the names of several players as the club continue to assess what they would need next summer.

However, there are growing whispers that they could be in with a chance to sign one of the biggest young stars of world football next season if the chips fall their way.

A genuine superstar on the Anfield radar

Jamal Musiala is seen as the next big thing in Deutschland football and has been one of the stars of Bayern Munich and the German national team.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is on the wishlist of most clubs in Europe but Bayern Munich are in no mood to lose him.

However, his contract will enter it’s final year next summer and that has led to whispers of a potential departure from the Allianz Arena.

According to CaughtOffSide, Bayern Munich are under real pressure to tie him down on a new contract as several clubs are eyeing snapping him up.

Liverpool are interested in getting their hands on him and the club believe it would be a massive coup if Musiala ends up at Anfield.

However, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are on alert and Manchester City are eyeing him as a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne.

The German giants are confident of holding on to the player and are expected to offer him a new contract that is likely to make him the highest-paid player alongside Harry Kane.

Even if he doesn’t sign a new deal, Bayern Munich won’t sell him next summer and a move is only likely if he leaves on a free transfer in 2026.
